Building the Strat-O-Cokester

This project took almost exactly 2 months to the day. During that time, and Randy and I traded somewhere slightly over 300 email messages discussing various apsects of the design.

This has also been a crash course in electric guitars; first from Randy (who has a very impressive collection of custom guitars), the internet (of course) and along the way, we discovered approximately half a dozen other Coke guitars, one once played by old Slowhand himself, Eric Clapton.

I should point out that Randy refurbished the pickguard and rear plate (not shown) with a liberal application of glaze as well as doing the tear down, reassembly and tuning.

And I should mention the numerous times Randy sanded and polished the guitar to bring it to the condition it is in now.

Randy also did all of the photography with the exception of the very bottom shot and made numerous runs to the guitar shop, engraver's, paint supply shop, etc.
